Operational Status

All central IT services at the university are fully operational. Most ITS staff are working remotely to follow recommended social distancing guidelines.

Service Desk

The FAC walk-up Service Desk is closed. Service Desk coverage at 512-475-9400 and remains open.

Extended operating hours for phone and email support:

  • Monday-Friday, 6am-10pm
  • Saturday and Sunday, 10am-5pm

ID Center

ID Center Emergency Remote EID Upgrade Process

HR Personnel should complete the Emergency Remote EID Upgrade Request form and email it to

ID Center personnel will validate the information and establish a video chat appointment with the new hire to verify identity. In the event, a video chat appointment is not feasible (large groups of 10 or more- e.g., new hire orientation), it will be the responsibility of the requestor to have confirmed identity.

University Data Center

The UDC is currently running on a reduced on site staffing. Tier I staff are on site 24/7 to provide monitoring services. Tier II staff are working remotely and are on call to provide physical support to customers with coordination. Any requests from customers supporting critical services will be coordinated for an immediate response. All other requests will be queued and batched for processing by a member of the Tier II staff coming onsite to the data center.
