EID Password Change Campaign

The person EID password change campaign was completed successfully as of May 2019. Campus communications will begin shortly for the next phase: service EID password changes.  

In an effort to improve UT EID password security, the ITS Identity and Access Management team (IAM) will be implementing a password change campaign beginning February 2019. All EIDs with a password older than November 2015 will need a password change. Changes to the person EID password rules were rolled out in October 2018. The password change process was sucessfully applied to all person EIDs between February and May 2019. The next phase will focus on service EIDs.
 

Actions:

Owners of service EIDs with passwords older than November 2015 are encouraged to change the passwords now. The IAM team will be notify the department IT contacts and owners of all impacted service EIDs. Multiple communications will be sent to notify and remind service EID owners of the upcoming password change process.
