Past Project: Endpoint Management (EPM) Centralization and Standardization Program: Technical Working Groups

The Endpoint Management Project has created eight "Technical Working Groups” (TWGs) to develop solutions, select EPM tools, document design plans, and assist in deployment and onboard planning. These technical working groups have nearly 50 representatives from almost 20 different colleges, schools, and units focusing on MacOS Management, Windows Management, Linux Management, Azure AD, Remote Access, Backup, Malware Prevention, Reporting, and Business Processes.  

 

MacOS Management  

Committee Charge: Identify product and develop architecture, business processes, and necessary configurations to meet requirements for systems compliance, patching and management. Identify constraints. Solutions should address business needs of CSUs (local control) and central management requirements.

Reporting 

Committee Charge: Gather reporting requirements to support CSUs in adoption, compliance, and maturing their EPM systems, including dashboards, notifications, and alerting. Develop a set of standards to aggregate the data from the various tools recommended by the other EPM committees. Develop a change management process for any changes to reporting or notification. Develop a plan for implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of this system.
